cub 147 hydro resistance
 

cub 147 hydro works fine in forward and reverse but have to hold the lever back to go slow. It always wants to work its way to full speed in both directions. Any ideas

You will need to adjust friction assembly or possibly replace friction assembly components at bottom of shifter shaft.

Removed the steering column and battery, the adjusting nut was easy to get at. It is a 1 1/16 nut. Works good now, the speed lever stays where I set it.

? Pretty simple critters. Huh?

How tight should this nut be?
 

My 147 control rod was rusted stuck. Got that resolved but now I'm wondering how tight should it be with the hydro disconnected? Does anyone have a suggestion? thanks!
