H-3 Tripple Hydraulics Installed on 2182 Super

Well I did it! I installed Tripple Hydraulics (H-3) on 2 of my 6 2182 Supers! Upper valve is for RF hydraulics, center valve is for center lift and 3 point hitch and lower valve for LF hydraulics and rear hydraulics. At some point in time I want to install a separate cylinder for the 3 point hitch so the hitch does not go up and down with mower/blade/snow blower. Ended up being quite a challenge having issues such as pressure hydraulic line hitting steering tower, hole not large enough for all 3 valves in tower, 8 hoses to go around and under radiator... I removed dash although kept radiator in it and worked around it so I could make sure pressure line from power steering to lower valve did not touch radiator or mount (only 1/8" clearance around it) and to run all 8 lines clearing radiator. Time will tell if I install H-3 on the other 4 2182's but for right now I am very satisfied!!!

You can change the top line to a 3000 series soft line part number 727-3160

I'm not a plastic hood guy, but you can't beat the looks of the later ones with the Cub Cadet branded tires and the fender flares.

I have some extra sections for the CV that I've been meaning to mess with on my machine :D

I'd say if MTD/Cub had just made the front end grill of steel (shown below), these plastic hoods and side panels would have stood up better to time.

I recently had my 1541 engine rebuilt, and sure enough, they broke the front end grill where the black plastic grill insert goes. Glad I have a spare new one to put on it. The original quote for the rebuild was $1,500. I think because they broke the grill, I only had to pay $724.
