Throttle Linkage Jumps Out at Carb
 

I have a 2166 with the Kohler CV16 engine. Recently cleaned carb and put back on. Runs like a top. However the linkage from Carb to governor now jumps out of the bushing on the carb. I got a new bushing think old one worn. No change there. Anybody have any ideas on how I can keep this linkage from jumping out?

Engine goes full speed and revs way too high. I have 769 hours on the unit has been passed around thru 4 family members and very well maintained.
