Tiller Gear Box

2 Attachment(s)
Hi All,

Still new to these beasts, but I recently picked up a tiller and gear box. In my research I’ve run across two different gear box covers and bolt patterns. Mine has International stamped in the cover and several others I’ve run across have IH. Is there a difference between the two or is it just pending on year made? The help is appreciated. Picture of mine below and the IH is one I came across in my searches.

IIRR the earlier designs are the ones with 3 mounting bolts.
Do be advised that there are 2 gear ratios, one is for a snow thrower and the other is for a tiller.
just make sure you duplicate what you have as far as gear ratios.:bigthink:

The early #1 tillers used a 3 tab mounting bolt pattern also. Best to check the ratio though...
