Who Brain Storms These Things

Anyone know why in the world CC would install such a tiny battery in a 23 hp engine? I have a 2022 XT2 LX46 and the battery will not turn the engine over after it has been running for a period of time. At the end of the 2023 mowing season, I called the dealership and took the mower in for service and trouble shooting. They installed a new battery (it was 13 months old so no warranty) but it didn't help with the starting issue when the engine is warm. There is not enough push to get the engine over high compression. If you hookup a charger or jumper cables it starts fine. Anyone else have issues? Has CC gone back to installing a larger battery? I'm just curious, I'll have to live with what I have. Kind of venting I guess. I feel better now. ?

Very short time for a battery to go bad. Is it charging good?

Seems weird,

How are the battery, the cable, starter motor, and the solenoid connections?

Sounds like a voltage problem to me.

The smaller new gen AGM batteries are rated at 210 CCA. I have a '24 gx54d with the 26hp Kohler and the battery spins the engine over NO problem. Maybe the o/p has an issue with grounding or a corroded comnection. Could be something else beyond the battery.
