Pretty handy tool! CNC?

Got a couple pics of the set up?

That’s awesome Fins! Did you get a Langmuir table? That’s my next purchase.

No, ours is an iPLASMA model 4400
Made in Minneapolis, MN
Found it on FB, set up and ready to cut but the guy never got around to using it!

He took a loss on it but that may have been the plan all along I suspect. BIG CONFINMENT hog setup, he said he was going to cut farrowing crate parts & try to save some money!! Didn't happen and it sat there for nearly a year.

We had been looking at the Langmuir and darn near sprung for one before this one popped up, w asn't too impressed with the Langmuir 2 pc water table, lot of guys were having leaking issues from what I was reading on feedback.
This unit has a one-piece table w/drain and the plasma cutter and can handle 1-1/8" material.
I'll get some more pictures up tomorrow probably.

Here's a couple taken this morning.
Sorry about them being sideways
Never had this issue with my old computer and can't figure this out,

So cool. The precision on these machines is pretty incredible!

Can you buy some ready made programs like the deer scene?

Oak 12-26-2024 06:48 PM

Yes, there are a ton of already programmed designs available. Etsy has a bunch you can look at.

Dang Fins, that one heck of a table.

Fins, what is the software that your machine uses and how hard is it to learn? I believe that the Langumir system uses Fusion 360 and some guys (like me) are having issues using it. That is what is keeping me from purchasing it. Does anyone on here have any input on this?

Amazing technology and end products! I would be out of that loop just on the computer side of things.

You guys would laugh at my plasma pattern set up. I have a homemade pantograph and I trace patterns into light panels then manually push the pointer around the silhouette. Nothing too complex, for sure.
