Why do the pictures get turned sideways when posting here? Is there a fix?

Good question!!
Been wondering about that as well.
Pic's from my cell phone have that issue here but not on other sites, even after I load them onto mt PC where they display correctly.

Same issue from a cell phone.

The best I can tell it is the way you take the picture. When you take a picture with your smart phone with the phone in the normal position, it will show sideways when you load it here. To correct it, hold your phone 90 degrees, with the charging port to your right. Think of it like this, when you take a picture with your regular camera turned 90 degrees it will show the picture like on our smart phones. Hope this helps and makes sense. :BangPC:

Even if it does show Up right on your computer

if You Notice Your Pictures up loaded to your computer are still upside down here

Change the Orientation competently 1 complete rotation of the Picture Before Uploading to OCC again . That usually fixes It so it will upload here correctly :ThumbsUp:

Do what sarge said, but do it before you open the "upload pictures promp".

Trying that out with phone sideways

This is four pics taken on my IPhone in the four orientations. All four aspects appear upright when viewed in my phone.

Now after viewing them posted on here, the correct orientation came with the lens on the phone to my left.

I vote for number 2 , but then I am Downunder so number 4 is the correct orientation
