What happen to the enthusiasm for the cub cadets and the willingness to pass on knowl
The title says it all, did the old school guys move to different sites or is there no longer any enthusiasm for the older cubs? I recall not long ago everybody there was a lot of info being shared or people were getting excited to start preparing there machines for snow removal and proud to show them off what happened? If your wondering the word in the end of the title is supposed to be knowledge but evidently there's a limit to how many characters you can have in the title?

I have a number of Cub Cadets that I enjoy upgrading, repairing and when time allows, restoring. For me, life is encroaching on my free time for this hobby and, as a result, less time to share and post here. I am grateful for the knowledge base and other resources available on this site. :beer2:

Not sure what knole is but... doing searches on this site and utube vids make it easy to find stuff, what do you need to knole?

Could be wrong, but I believe only the early JD’s had a Knole attachment available. Hard to find and harder yet to modify to a Cub.

A " Knole " is half-way to knowing something
"Knowledge " is when you know it all Oz |

I got a free 1863 12 years ago and joined this forum. I received a lot of help from the members here getting it repaired. When I go back and read that thread I see that some of those guys are dead now. Some are in their 70's and 80's and are less able to use and repair 25-30 year old tractors. Some of the guys who still have Cub Cadets don't use them to mow anymore. I don't remember ever asking for help on here and not getting a reply.

I have learned much and I also tried to pass on some of the tips or tricks I have learned. Its sad but true the guys before us are going to greener pastures RIP. I don't have a son to hand my cubs down to and my daughters could care less theres no grandsons at least not yet, so in my family the addiction dies with me. I guess the older cubs and the ability to work on them are going to be things of the past. |
Yes we are, but our knowledge remains on this site......
