Is there an easy way to remove a ZTS2 60 deck?

The factory procedure for removing and replacing the heavy 60" mowing deck seems like an afterthought; the lifting linkages don't go down far enough to remove all stresses making linkage pin removal and replacement difficult. Adding something like a dolly under the deck so it can be wheeled out isn't possible because of the lifting linkage design. Has anyone come up with an easy way to remove and replace the 60" deck?

Welcome to the site Fast one. Lots of possibilities for a somewhat "easy" removal. You can use Archimedes Law of the Lever principle to remove excess stress on the linkage and pins. A piece of wood and a crowbar or breaker bar can be used and adjust the fulcrum as needed to ease your lift, depending on what you have on hand. use a smaller wedge piece of wood to hold it in place while you remove the pins. You can use ratchet straps over your rafters or a very sturdy tree limb to lift the front wheels high enough to slide the deck forward and out from under the cub. There are other ways, as well, using a come along or engine hoist or jack or mower lift, etc. are possible. As always, practice safety first and chock the rear tires before raising the front of your cub, use a support system to hold the position of your cub if you are suspending it and some good common sense.

Remove deck connections, then Invest In this https://www.themojack.com/product/mo...ro-mower-lift/

I have SX54 Z-force, and the deck is a royal PIA to remove. As the front of the deck will not clear the front tires so I have to lift it slightly. The Steering wheel Zero Turns I agree; it seems like deck removal was an afterthought

Deck removal is easier now

I made small wheel assemblies for each corner of the deck. Once the deck is released and on the floor a small locking screw is loosened and a breaker bar is inserted in the wheel pivot bar. The wheel is rotated with the bar which lifts that corner of the deck and the locking screw is tightened. When all four wheels are dropped and locked it allows the deck to roll out from under the mower with ease since it's on four wheels. I would include pictures but don't know how to do that on this site.
