Need help with this bracket…
 

My father-in-law just bought an IH 1450 at an auction this spring. It’s worked well for a few months, but then it quit starting a couple weeks ago. He found this bracket was broken, so he welded it the way he THOUGHT it was supposed to be. That wasn’t correct, however, and now I’m trying to find the bracket from somewhere so I can replace it. (The sleeve is not on it, but he has it.) Can anyone either help me with locating this piece, or sell me one if you have one. I would greatly appreciate any help. I’m going to be buying this tractor soon as well. Thanks!

This is what a 1450 starter should look like, yours looks like it was made to fit it.

That’s what I was thinking, but this bracket is actually bolted on. So I’m not sure how to remove it. The starter is working, but when the bracket broke, it was linked from what my father-in-law said. I guess I’ll just buy a starter and see if it’ll bolt in with no issues. Fingers crossed! Assuming your tractor still has the correct engine,
your starter would look like this when bolted in.
