Q: Wide frame Cub Cadets. Gear driven vs hydro.
 

Are there any differences between the frames of hydro vs gear driven models?
Specifically, I am looking at 128 rear end and 169 frame.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong because I’m not certain but I’m pretty sure there isn’t a difference in the frame just the transmission. Maybe different bolt placements for the transmission.

It will fit, if your are just putting it in the frame, the real fun comes when you want to hook up the brakes, clutch, and throw out lever.
