XT1 not starting
 

Hi.

I have a XT1 with a KOHLER 7000 series engine. When I turn the key I can hear a clicking sound from under the battery area. I have replaced the solenoid and it still just clicks. I have tried jumping the 2 solenoid post and nothing.

I have bench tested the starter and it seems fine. What else could it be ?

Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere. Time to get out the multimeter. Are you getting voltage to the solenoid and then at the exit when you try to jump it. Also could be a bad battery or post connection. How old is the battery?
