Timed deck swap out
 

Hey, or should I start with a "say hey" to honor the great Willie Mays. Anybody out there in Cub Cadet Land know if a timed deck can be converted over to a non-timed? This LT1040 I picked up at a garage sale is my first experience with a timed deck and not a big fan of this type. It needs new spindles and pulleys anyway so if I install standard non timed hardware and belt will it operate as a non timed? Thanks.

No, the blades will hit each other then, they are timed for that reason. It is how the deck is designed.
