Replacing Rear Tire - Floor Jack Placement

Greetings!

Nice Forum here!

I have a 2015 Cub Cadet XT-1 LT46 and I need to change the (flat) rear tire.

I spoke with their Tech Support as to where to place the floor jack and was told to place it in the center of the box (transaxle?) where the two axles enter. He was adamant that I not under any circumstances use the Axle as a support point as it can bend.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Lyman

Yes, I would say where they told you or the rear hitch would be another spot.

Thanks. The Rear axle housing is where both axles enter and is located in the rear center, correct? ("...or under the rear axle housing nearest the wheel that is to be removed.")

Best,

It's not wise to jack the back end up in the center because the front axle pivots in the center and once the rear wheels are off the ground the tractor will be unstable.
Sooooo......jack it

Gear doesn't matter, just lock your parking brake.
Pry off the black rubber hubcap, you will see a 9/16" bolt.
Remove the bolt and slide the wheel off the axle.

Again, many thanks! You've been extremely helpful.
