Wheel weight paint
 

So I've seen these painted both colors, but what is the correct OEM color for the wheel weights on my 1450? Yellow or White?

I think white is correct for a 1450.

Probably white also. I think the yellow weights stopped after the 1x6/7 series, but the only way to know would be to look at some sales lit for each series and see where it stopped. I kind of prefer the yellow weights on yellow tractors, but I have to keep a few pairs of white weights around because the yellow ones look dumb on the red tractors.

I local guy around here that used to work for IH said they could come in either color on any machine. It just depended on which color the factory wanted to paint the weights that day. But thats just hearsay

I also prefer the yellow wheel weights, over the white ones. I've seen on old brochures, where the Originals had yellow wheel weights.

This is interesting to me. I'm going to paint a yellow pair white for my 1650 Twin Stick, but I had only seen white on quitelines in the past.

I even put yellow on my 1282, although I suppose it's fair to say white would look better as an above poster did. :bigthink:
