Homemade lathe tooling

3 Attachment(s)
I recently made a couple of pieces of tooling for my Hardinge DV-59 second op lathe. Since I don’t have a mill in my shop yet, I built a small milling attachment. I started with a 2-1/2” vise and made the vertical slide and lead screw. A welded and machined bracket attaches it to the compound slide. I used the attachment to cut an 1/8” keyway in a shaft and it works great.

The other piece I made is an indicator holder the locks onto the spindle taper the same way as the chucks.
