K 301 Oil Seals
Am a bit puzzled on some part numbers here for oil seals.
The parts diagram says the FRONT oil seal is 47 032 06 and then describes it as flywheel side seal. Parts diagram says 47 032 07 is the Rear seal and then shows it on the PTO side of the crankshaft. Does anyone know if they are the same seal or different sizes? Thanks Ken |
Kohler makes the motor and calls the flywheel side the front.
IH put the motor in Cub Cadets bass-ackwards to accommodate their PTO clutch and starting system. Other brands such as Case have the flywheel to the front of the tractor, Wheelhorse have it to the side. Don't confuse tractor front with what Kohler calls it for the motor. And yes, the seals are different. |
That makes sense, or shall I say your explanation does. As for the rest of
it, bass-ackwards would certainly apply. Thanks Ironman Ken |
