K301a sediment bowl
2 Attachment(s)
While trying to find and evict some wasps from the parts 125, I found the original sediment bowl and copper line. I would like to put it on the running machine. I can’t get the bowl itself off will soaking it in warm water soften the bond?

I already took the nut off and the arms holding the bowl to the main body. Pics are it just cleaned up

Not sure if it will or not but, it sure won't hurt to try. If not try something
else. If it goes south the bowl and such are available. Ken |
Lacquer thinner usually will break the bond if soaked long enough

After about 4 hours of really hot water and dawn dish soap I managed to get the bowl off, and was promptly met with the most foul smelling old gas that was just basically grey powder. Put it outside in the rain to air out. I’m surprised that everything on it moved with very little effort even the gasket seems fine.

Every time I have those sediment bowls off and back on they seem to
seep a little bit. Even with new gaskets. Usually I just keep it clean and run it for a few days and they stop seeping. Glad you got it off. Ken |
