K301 Cam Pin
1 Attachment(s)
Hello all, I just started re assembly of a K301 that I had bored 10 over and it seems that the cam pin didn't make it back from the machine shop. The butt end of a 1/2" drill bit seemed to fit perfectly in the hole in the block and the cam. I have some 1/2" round stock that I bought from Mcmaster Carr and was thinking I might make a replacement.
Does anyone happen to have a cam pin that they could measure for me? Diameter and length please. Thanks for any help. TT |
As measured:
Ø 0.499 at both ends Ø 0.498 at the middle Total length is 7.004" Both ends include chamfer ~0.020" x 45° Good luck. |
Thanks Paul, much appreciated! :beerchug:

So this is the piece of 1/2" rod that I have;

It was a little grungy but after I polished it up with some emery cloth and oiled it, it slid nicely into the camshaft.
