Cub Cadet 147 starter/generator oil
 

Hello,
I noticed that my cub cadet 147 starter/generator has a small flap on it that I think is for oil. Should I be oiling this? If so, what type of oil should I use and how much? Thanks

Not all s/g's have the flap. There is a felt wick down there, so 4-5 drops of light machine oil once or twice a year is all you need.
If you don't know if it had been maintained, maybe a little more the first time in case it is dry.
