109 Hydro Gasket Replacement
5 Attachment(s)
I have used this guy for some other things I have done https://isavetractors.com/. I do believe this is the gasket that is leaking. Can anyone confirm?
It's the hydro pump to diff, it looks like a cork gasket. |
First, welcome to OCC........ :Welcome2:
Yes, that is where they typically leak after 30+ yrs. Replace that gasket and you should have no leaks from that area. :IH Trusted Hand: |
Thank you. I have been reading on here for the last couple years, the fella I purchased my 109 from, gave me a list of different resources, this being one. Thanks again

But before decide that ol'korky is a leaking,
best to do a little detective work. Gravity has a way of playing tricks on fellers, and i don't mean sagging of the old body. Sometimes the relief valves above leak, and gravity makes the oil appear to be coming from the mating of the hydro and differential, Then also the leak can come from the expansion plug just under the cork gasket. So best to clean the area up real good like yall is going to paint the area, but instead dust it will talcum powder or flower is yall might be thinking of Johnson & Johnson baby powder problems. and soon the powder will show you exactly where the leak is originating.:beerchug: |
Removing without splitting

After talking with the person who I purchased the tractor from, I was able to remove this without splitting the tractor. He said splitting makes it easier but not required. I am pretty sure someone else at one point was splashing some paint around because I noticed some globs underneath the pump.
