1282 with H42 blower
I have a 1282 with K301. Will I have enough power to run with the H-42 snow blower? I also have a 1812 I could put it on I think? The 1812 seems to not start very good when below 40 so I am leaning to the 1282.

If everything is optimum the 1812 should start as well or better than the 1282. Start with the carburetor, and make sure the choke is adjusted to close all of the way when the knob is pulled. Then make sure it's running well warm by adjusting the mixture. Then make sure the spark plugs are gapped properly and not worn. If all of this checks out, you might have a weak magneto, or low compression.

The H42 blower is listed to fit your 1282. As 1811 said, also the correct oil for winter should be used in the 1812.

I have never owned either tractor but isn't the 1282 armstrong lift, where as the 1812 is hydraulic?
If so, I would certainly desire hydraulic with a snowblower attached. |
Yes 1282 is armstrong. What weight oil should I use in winter?

Under 32 Degrees F, use 5W30 or if oil consumption is high, 10W30. Any other temp, use low ash straight 30.
