125 trunnion linkage repair help

Ok guys I got my newly rebuilt relief valves from MachTech in place, a new Teflon cam pivot bushing installed, .010” shims stacked to tighten up the trunnion plate and the cam plate, both new springs and retainers. The springs are longer and tighter and the shims and bushing really helped me get rid of slop. My concern is that the springs aren’t dead center of the trunnion plate. I do not want to bend anything or “make it be center”. Any suggestions?

I centered mine before I put the pump together by bending the trunnion arm under the press. Just a bit at a time. If you have it all together and in the machine, just put a bar between the arm and the pump housing and tweak it a bit at a time. You'll only be putting pressure on the trunnion shaft and bearing and it will take it. The arm is not that tough. Take the retaining ring off the opposite side shaft so you don't put inward pressure on that seal.

Thanks Ambush. It’s still on my shop floor at the moment, I didn’t want to put the tractor back together until I got some input from the greatest old tractor forum on the web.
