An Original for me?

No pics yet, but talking to my cousin the other day, he said "I have an old garden tractor you might want." He says it's a 1961 Cub Cadet. I'm going to take my trailer and check it out!

Take some pictures when you do.

Pics...check out the lift and the original air cleaner. The four digit number shows it to have been made in February of 1961. It has electric start.

I think most do; pull start is actually "rarer" :bigthink:

How do we see the full size image instead of the thumbnails on an iPhone?

I think I like the electric start even if it makes it "more common".

Pull starts need no electrical stuff. Less to worry about.

A friend of a friend has one and I really hope it's a pull start. Claimed to be a '62, 2nd owner.

It turned out to be an electric start. I will be bringing it home next week. The first task will be trying to remove sprayed on "touch ups" that were poorly done getting overspray on a lot of parts that shouldn't have paint on them. I would love to preserve it for a while before eventually possibly restoring it.

I love my March of 61 4 digit Original that’s pull start. I mow with it twice a year.
