Wheel spacing on a Cub Cadet 122
Okay, I am having the bearings in the front rims spin, what is the backspacing on a 16x6.50x 8 rim on a Cub Cadet 122? I need new rims.
Thanks, Thad |
Shim them between the bearing and where it contacts the center hole of the wheel.
Always worked for me. Use thin mat'l. like a tin can or whatever it takes. This is what happens when the wheels and bearings are not adjusted when installed. You should only press on the outer race of the bearing when installing and adjusting the runout. May take some trial and error using machinery bushings so the assl'y does not move laterally (in and out) on the spindle of the knuckle when installed. And use good quality bearings, not the $5 farm store parts. |
I have used that aluminum duct tape.
