K301 Air coming out of carb
 

Hi, I am trying to access the K301 condition on a non running 125 that looks to have been sitting for a really really long time. Basically whether its going to be the common clean the carb/filter/tank and it runs or major work needed.

It does turn over but there is air coming out of the carburetor on cranking. I get no combustion with starter fluid. No other troubleshooting yet.

Does that sound like stuck valves or cam/timing problem? Any other possibilities?

It sounds like you have to check the points, coil and see if the coil is getting 12V power while cranking. A stuck valve will do that, pull the head and check it out. Prolly needs de carbonizing and a few other task.

Thanks, it did have 12v at the coil. I ordered a gasket set and will figure on at least pulling the head.
