82 series factory style 3 pt questions
1 Attachment(s)
I found this image on the web, do I need this piece to attach the lift bar on my 782 to the rockshaft? Where can I get one? And finally, is there a copy of the 3 pt installation manual for an 82 series?
Thanks. |
I think it probably uses a clevis pin; that's how the sleeve hitch is ran on the later tractors as well.
I originally thought I'd have to add a lift block for the 1811 or 782, but IH improved the design s.t. only a clevis pin is needed and it is inserted through a clearance hole in the frame. |

I dont see that pin in the parts breakdown. the pin that attaches to the lift arm has three holes in it.
the attached image shows the parts for the 3pt from cub. |
Looks like a float lockout pin.

This is where it's shown as being used. 82 series is different than other WF's which is why I'm looking for specific info. Supposedly the pin that normally connects the rockshaft to the hydraulic cylinder inserts from the frame side but from what I'm surmising the head of that pin would interfere with the lifting bar so the piece shown above replaces that cylinder pin by moving it to the inside thereby eliminating the interference issue. All this is a theory I've put together based on very sparse info available on the Internet so I'm hoping to find something concrete; photos, actual experience, a specific manual, etc.

#12 in the parts lookup, float lockout pin, flip it one way the cylinder floats, the other it locks the float on the rock shaft.

Aaron has it on his site.
