Cub Cadet LT1022

I'm having an issue with the LT1022. It will turn over and acts like it is not getting any fuel. It has a Briggs & Stratton engine. The engine model # is 40H777, Type is 0171, E1 Code is 031023Y9.

I also have a Cub Cadet 1862 that runs great until it greats hot. I think it may be vapor locking. Any ideas on how to insulate the fuel line and filter.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regarding the 1862, the valve clearance might be too tight. Once it gets warm, the valves hang open enough to make it run poorly or not at all. Make sure the fins are clean, so it isn't overheating. Also, make sure the fuel pump, and fuel supply is strong. Replace all rubber hoses, cause minor crack will leak air, yet not fuel.

Thanks for the information on the things I need to look at. I think I've got it figured out. Put new inline filter on and cleaned the fuel pump. It was full of trash not allowing fuel to go through.
