Thinking of selling 2072
3 Attachment(s)
Folks I'm been tinkering with these old machines for a few yrs now. I've enjoyed the time I've had with them. But I've had a stroke and I'm no longer able to do the things I used to be able to do. So I'm thinking of selling my 2072. It runs great and works as it should. Its not perfect but I've taken really good care of it. My question is what would be a asking price for it? I know its worth what someone is willing to pay but I'm not sure where to start. Was thinking of putting it on eBay, but I don't think that's how I want to do it. I would rather put it on here where people love these old machines as much as I do. I just cant make up my mind. Letting it go would be difficult but if it went to someone who would take care of it would make it much easier. Has anyone else ever been in this situation? I guess I'm just looking for that bit of advise that would help me make up my mind.

Welcome to OCC, sorry your health is not the best.
If you are not pressed for money, let it set as incentive to look forward to enjoying again. I'm sure some of the fellows will give you an approx. worth, but a lot always depends on location, just like real estate. It is a nice looking tractor. |
I agree with George 100%. Do you have any attachments for it? What condition is the driveline & engine? The big issue with SGT's are the rear ends getting loose from the frame and stripping the threads out of the rear. If all that is good then your machine will be better than most out there. You don't see many supers go for sale here in the south so I would start out around $2k but wouldn't go below $1500.

Engine is great, rear end is great, has recent wire harness.Has the frame supports.10"Rear wheels. Its drips a drop or two of hydro fluid after it runs for a while but nothing major.Hour meter shows 1160 hrs.No rust.Sterring has all new heim joints.Grille is perfect, exhaust is perfect.Decals are almost perfect. Its just a really good machine.I simply cant do the things I used to be able to do and never will again. And I would rather it go to someone who will take care of as I have instead of it just sitting. I have hospital bills that I could use the money for too.I haven't made up my mind just yet but I do know I dont want it to just sit and go to waste from never being used.

Not sure why :dunno: I only gave $500 for my 2182 after it sat on Marketplace for a few weeks at $800. |
