2000 Cub Cadet 3660 Leaking Problem/Charging
Hello,
I am new to the forum. I purchased my CC 3660 zero turn new in 2000. It has been hands down the best piece of equipment I have ever purchased. I have two issues. 1) There is a substantial hydro fluid leak coming from the pump to trans drive on both sides. All the schematics I see show an "O" ring between the two. Just wondering if anyone in the forum has torn these units apart and what I should be looking for. I know I will probably have to make my own gaskets...which is not a problem. 2) I have a starting problem with the Kohler 25 HP Engine. No matter what I do the battery draws down and I have to jump it to start. I have had the starter repaired, purchased a new starter, start switch & even put a kill switch like the drag racers use in case there is a parasitic draw when the engine is off. Nothing works. But the minute I put my jump box on it ... it starts immediately. Seems like the extra voltage the jump box zaps it with gives the starter just enough to turn the engine over. I have inspected the wires and rung them out with a Power Probe, but everything is O.K. It almost seems like there is a flat spot on the starter solenoid , but the starter shop says everything checks out. I'm stumped. I'm hoping someone in the forum can help. Happy Holidays ! |
Welcome to OCC....... :Welcome2:
What is the Engine Model Number ? :bigthink: |
What do you mean by " the battery draws down and I have to jump it to start??
Do you mean the battery goes dead over time? or it cranks and cranks, but does not start and draws the battery dead so you have to use a jumper battery. or does it just turn the engine over so slow it will not start. Does the battery test good when load tested? Have you checked the battery terminals and wires on both ends, to see/insure they are clean and tight. :bigthink: |
