PTO woe's
Hi
My name is Roy I found a few older cubs to work on as a hobby. Most fairly simple with no major issues. Then neighbor gave me his 1811 in pieces. I put it all back together and poof, wa-la, mowed with it 2 years now. In winter, out chains on it plowed snow. I have since bought 2 - 1872 super cubs one with a deck and one with back hoe an bucket. On it back hoe works just needs steering column changed or rebuild. Other one is being a pain when I switch the PTO on it kicks on then as soon as I let go of switch it stops I checked gap it is 17 Thousands, an 3.8 OHMs. On PTO I have cleaned ,most of connection on ends of wires to the point of maybe I may have one hooked up wrong. Any one help me out with a wiring diagram of 1872. Thanks in advance Roy |
As a test, You can power the PTO with 12 volts to make sure the PTO is working Properly. If it is, I would start at the switch, Then start checking safety switches
