Hydro. Filter and Oil.....
 

Just purchased a 1973, 129 from the original owner that is in fantastic condition. I want to change the hydro. oil and filter. Where is the best source for the filter and oil. What number and make filter and what make and type oil. Thanks much in advance.

You will need a rear cover gasket also... IH-350837-R1

I will only add that it takes ~7 quarts of Hy-Tran for an oil change in the Hydro and that you should gather a handful of clean rags and wipe down everything inside you can reach while the rear cover is off, especially the bottom where some oil will collect and have to be removed with rags.

A clean Hydro is a Happy Hydro.
