CC 1450 Tie Rod to Oil Pan Drain Plug
1 Attachment(s)
Anyone with a 1450 able to provide the normal clearance between the front end tie rod and the oil pan drain plug? With my recent acquisition it seems the tie rod has rubbed against the oil drain plug due to insufficient clearance. Motor mount issues? I’m a newbie to the CC world?

Mounts must be shot and I'd bet the cradle rails are worn into the X member as well.
Aluminum pan is more than likely badly worn at the mounting bosses also and may be missing a bolt or two ore even 3!! Common issues for the QL series. Did you check for any of this before getting out your wallet?? Remove the engine and check for damage in those areas ASAP |
It is possible that someone put the tie rod on upside down?

An upside-down tie-rod will hit the axle and only let you turn the wheels half way. Don't ask me how I know this!
