982 Rear PTO color
 

Hello,

I just bought a IH Cub Cadet 982 with 3pt and PTO. Mine have 3pts and PTO in red. On google, some are black, and some are red. What is the correct color?

Red with black/white accents

Edit: There were yellow/white models now I have my thoughts recollected

Hey Billy-O, I think that gbenoit is referring to the color of the PTO and 3 point, not the color of the tractor.

:Welcome2:Both colors are actually correct. I believe that some were red and some were black. The earlier ones were the IH red and the later ones were black. My best guess was so that the color matched the rear end of the tractor and this was likely done for the 782 first, since their original rear end color was IH red and then became black in later models.
