Hello and question

Hello, I’m Jason, I’m in PA. I have a 125 that I bought used and it ran great but now I can only go a short distance until the machine stalls out while the blades are engaged. Can anyone weigh in or point me to the proper thread to figure out what’s going on? Thanks!

First, welcome to OCC............. :Welcome2:

It maybe you are running out of gas and a have a Fuel Delivery problem. I would look this area.

AS A TEST.....

Once the engine dies out, squirt some gas in the carb and see if it comes back to life.

I generally have a full tank when this happens and often I can run without the blades engaged and no issues.

The contents of the tank is not the issue. Was just trying to help.

Can you better explain what you meant? I clearly miss understood.

It is a moot point that the tank has sufficient fuel,
it is not getting to the engine is the problem.
As a engine works harder it requires more fuel.
Sounds like that is not happening.
Might try seeing if the flow of fuel TO the carb is good, if not investigate why and take remedial action.
If the flow IS sufficient then there is a reduction into the carb or the carb itself is partially clogged.
Have you tried to simply adjust the main jet richer?
that could cause a problem also.
Let us know what you diagnosed, so we can help

My father-in-law had it running and had the carb adjusted to run normally with no blade engaged. I haven’t tried adjusting the carb while the blade is engaged. I’ll give it a shot.
