Quiet line supplemental hydro cooling

I am considering adding a 12v blower directed at the hydro for supplemental cooling. I have a couple of 12v duct fans from my old boat kicking around and thought about putting one in my 1450 for extra hydro cooling. Any thoughts on the idea?

Why not just put on the fan that came with the tractor ?

That's where supplemental comes in. It would be in addition to the one on it to increase airflow at low engine rpms. And add additional airflow.

Do as you like, it's your our tractor.
If you are asking if it is needed, under normal conditions, no.
Now if you are working the hydro way over it's design, then yes, additional cooling is always good.
Your system is not the type that is using the hydro for anything but motivation, it is not like hydraulic driven hydro motors for the deck or a hydraulic powered tiller.

That driveshaft fan wasn't very well engineered. It sits right in front of the flex disc joint that blocks most of the airflow.

The number of surviving intact fans has to be vanishingly small given the challenge in getting them installed safely.
