Best International Cub Cadet to restore

Alright guys and gals, I restored my first Cub Original when I was 12. Now I'm 16, and want to do another one. I want to restore one that's fairly simple to work on and tear apart because it will be a weekend project. I was kinda thinking a 70 because they are what replaced the Original and I already have a rebuilt k161. I could put on but y'all know a lot more than me. So I'd appreciate it if y'all gave me some opinions.

Thanks
Clay

I would suggest as YOU said, a model 70.

A 70 sounds like a logical choice. But on one condition...post pictures :biggrin2:

I vote for a 126.
Don't see many of those around.

61,702 series #2 built (70's and 100's)
22,600 of which were 70's

Compared to the 126 which had a run of only 5,247
Good luck!!

OK guys. thanks. I'll look for a 70 and a 126. Ya never know, if I find both. I may just bring two home.

Cub Cadets pick you, not the other way 'round. :beerchug:

It was an easy choice for me. I grew up with a 100 and when dad handed it down to me, I knew I wanted to “restore” it someday. Mine is more like a restoration with upgrades. Mainly, the addition of custom dual hydraulics and front trailer hubs. The round fender Cubs look the best in my opinion.

I'm also gonna agree with that, I didn't find my 107, It found me. :beerchug:

But I also have to say, its good to see another young person showing interest in these fine old machines. Can't say I've seen too many others lately.

It's never too late,
My first Cub didn't find me until I was in my 40's.
