73 first snowfall
5 Attachment(s)
Yesterday night was the first test of the 73 that I bought back in the spring to be my primary snow removal machine. The blade has been on a 147 for the past 8 years, and while this wasn't the first time I've used a gear drive (spent many hours on Dad's 52 Farmall H) it was a bit different than using the hydrostat. It did great and I had a blast. It starts up way easier than the 14 horse trying to turn over and turn the cold hydro pump as well. I also added a storage space on the back of my garage this year for my Cadets that made it very convenient to just drive out. Prior to this I had to move a vehicle every time I wanted to get something out. Merry Christmas to me!

Pretty awesome! :beerchug:
That's a sweet looking little machine! Maybe someday I'll find myself a 73... (don't mean to make a big deal but I gotta point out that this is my 200th post :biggrin2:) |
Merry Christmas to you from MT Daniel. I know the routine of moving'
5 machines to get to the one you want. Glad you are getting that resolved. And having a great time on the tractor. 200 posts eh? We have a long way to go the catch up with Daniel.:beerchug: Ken |
Been around a minute guys.
Thanks. I enjoy the seat time. It's a fun tractor to run. I'm betting big brother 147 sitting in the garage covered is liking not having to start it's grumpy ass up when it snows anymore. |
Looking good!

I've plowed snow with lots of cubs, but none of them have been as fun as when it was on the 73. Something about that little mighty might when snow is rolling off the front blade and it is doing its thing. Great looking machine you have and it looks like you are already having fun on it! Just be careful of the open wheels with longer winter coats, etc. It would be easy to get a string or something caught in there.
Merry Christmas to you! Cub Cadet 123 |
Nice rig Daniel, looks like you had some fun.
