Oil Dip Stick / 123
 

I was out mowing today and my dipstick was making a racket on inspection it looks like it has jumped the 2 flares that held it between a couple of inches of movement . It now can be pushed all the way to the top to handle. This does not seem correct to me. :BangPC:

I took a look in k301a 12 hp manual . Shows picture of dipstick but no dimensions. Would like to know if anyone could tell me the proper length of the dipsitck when pushed down to measure oil . From the painted cap when properly seated to measure oil to end of dipstick.

mine come lose and kept comming out making an oily mess every where, measuring on the out side top of my cap to end is 15 inches


on a side note my stick had a part # stamped on the side a235941. so when i was last at patton acres i showed him what i had and brought out a box of new in the package ones and first one was a winner and number on stick even matched
