Older NF steering wheels
 

When the "slick" wears off of the older steering wheels is there any way to seal them back up again, or can you clean them well enough that the black doesn't get on your hands?

Try some armor all and soak it down good.

Yosemite Sam...Now Im not saying this is good but I know a fellow that cleaned up his wheel real good taped off the spokes and used a brush to put bed liner on his and he was pleased with the out come but I havent had the nerve yet to try that on one of mine...Im with ya tho everytime I use the 70 I always come in black handed....lol

I cleaned the steering wheel on my 70 real good to get all the black dust off of it and painted it with gloss black Krylon Fusion paint for plastic and Im real pleased how it came out,but time will tell if it last.

I sanded and painted one black with a spray gun and hardener, and that worked ok.
