125 fan?
3 Attachment(s)
I've been working on my 125 and in removing the driveshaft I discovered that the hydro fan was gone. I just assumed it had disintegrated and fell off leaving this.....see photos. My parts guy said he had never seen anything like this. I had the feeling that this tractor had never been apart before. Is this original equipment or not. I thought the fan might have gone between the two rubber sections of this. Thanks.

I havent seen anything like this either, it looks like someone else has been in there. Is that collar metal, I have seen a completly metal fan before but this looks 1/2 metal and 1/2 plastic. umm?:bigthink:

What does an original fan look like and how is it held on the shaft?

Here is a picture of a 125 hydro fan. |
If I remember right, the metal fan was a hub like that with a stamped piece for the fan blades, so it's possible that's part of the original fan.

Ok, it looks to me that Matt is right, that is part of the old fan.
In this picture I have marked where the blades are on mine. |
I'm pretty sure there is no groove in the shaft for that snap ring for that new fan.

The snap ring goes over the hub of the fan itself to compress it around the driveshaft to hold it.

in the e-pay add below is a original fan on a 147 that looks jut like the fan that is on the 125 i recently worked on, i can see where the hub looks like yours.
