Cub Orginal
I purchased a complete Cub Orginal today, my first. Though condition is kinda rough, its mostly surface rust with very little if any pitting. The serial number makes it a 1962. It came with wheel weights, chains, cutting deck, extra seat & a plow. It will be alot of work to restore but I'm looking forward to it. I'll get up a few photo's in the next few days so you all can see it.

Nice to see another Original saved!! Here's a pic of the engine sitting on the chassis. Still need to coat the chassis a couple more times, but it feels good taking 1st pic and turning into 2nd pic. Have fun and let the Yellow fever loose:Cub1:
p.s. can't wait to see the pics!! |
I agree with sminky, love to see another CCO saved. I loved the rebuild every minute when I did mine. Gives you a great appreciation for the quality IH had in their design..:beerchug:

Pickin up another Original on Tuesday!!
I've been loathing for a "correct" Original since the one I'm restoring now has the cracked frame where it bolts to tranny. I'm so stoked to get this one as you can see why from this link: http://westernmass.craigslist.org/grd/1854108665.html Will be a keeper for sure:biggrin2.gif:
