982 front tires wrong size?

Hi,
I have a 982 and am looking to replace the tires. Planning on going AG tires on the back and probably ribs on the front. What is confusing me is that it currently has 20x8-8 on the front. I was having trouble finding this size of rib tires but when checking on tractordata.com it lists 18x8.5-8 were standard on front? Did the 982 ever come with 20x8-8 on the front or would they have been replaced with the wrong size in the past? If I go back to stock is there anything is should expect to adjust? Maybe need to adjust the blade level so the front to back is the correct angle?

The 982's rolled out of the Factory with these tires. NO other front tire options were offered.

Thanks for the welcome and information!
I will swap them back to standard and make the appropriate adjustments as needed.

Thanks,

At this point I am just trying to get some different tires as the ones currently on it are old, dry rotted and apparently the wrong size! I'm not doing anything crazy with it for the time being so i am going to go with these from Walmart. They don't have very deep ribs but think they will be okay for the price. Plus I work for walmart so get a discount, $50 for a pair with free shipping is hard to beat.

Nothing wrong with those and they will keep you rolling. Thats half the battle with old tractors sometimes, got to keep them working while you fix them up!

Tires came in and I starting to change them out. Cleaning and repainting the wheels while I have tires off. Bought some Majic IH White from Tractor Supply, thought the color was going to be way off since mine seemed pretty white but after breaking down the wheels and comparing the color to the inside that hasn't been sun bleached it is actually really close! Will probably pull the deck and components and paint at the same time since the 982 will be out of commission for a while as the wheels are painted.

Wheels are painted and new tires installed. Was able to pickup some -30 degree washer fluid on clearance so have 8 gallon in each of the rear tires.
