Vented Gas Cap

I just recently picked up a 1650 cub. Should this tractor have a vented gas cap? It is a 1979 model per the serial number. I check thru several post describing a vented cap and I cannot locate a vent hole in the cap. I want to replace this cap with a new one and want to purchase the correct cap for this tractor. Can I get some help with this question?
