Those specially shaped bolts....
1 Attachment(s)
I knew these were going to be crusty, so I PB Blasted them thoroughly before I started working on them with a 6 point box wrench.
They all came out (carefully). These are the bolts holding the seat frame to the fender pans on my super scruffy 122 (that is now my go-to tractor). I was SURE I was going to snap one off, but all three came out (the DPO only had three in , thankfully!) |
Good deal ! they were on shaky ground for twisting off ! PB is as good as any, the key to any penetrant is giving it enough soak time to work !:beerchug:

looks to me as ya done got most of the good out of them!:biggrin2:

There you go.

Yeah I think I got my moneys worth out of these.
I got these to move a bit with some gentle wrenching and PB , the flooded em with more PB and more back and forth. I got lucky! |
Looks good, be extra careful putting em back in

Those are definitely special looking fasteners. Another NLA item. Maybe Jeff can whip out a few for you. :biggrin2:

I have successfully taken them out of the gene pool. :beer2:

They certainly earned their retirement.

Todays bolts would have snapped for sure.. Good steel back then! :beerchug:
