Hello,

An old farm up the way is having an estate sale.

Looking to pick this little one up. They won't budge past $500.

Good deal? Please share your thoughts.

It looks like it might start. I'm heading over with a battery and gas.

Welcome. IMO $500 is a lot for it. Certainly more than I would spend without the seller having it in running condition. Be careful getting it running for them. I once got one going and the guy actually jumped his price up to me!.. Can't make crap like this up..

Non runner no way. Have to assume engine smokes like a train. Seat looks fair and has headlights. If has sleeve hitch and spring assist that’s something, snow plow in my opinion is $50. Definitely would not get it going for the seller

Not hearing it run of move I would be at about $250. Get it running for the guy and the price might double. :bigthink:

You know me... 50.00 and it it should come with a sickle bar mower...

I gave $350 for mine a few years ago with a deck and drove it up on the trailer and mowed with it when I got home.
Blade is worth $125
If the seat is really nice.....
That is worth $100, to me me at least.

But, I do agree, $500 is a bit much in the condition that shows in your pictures.

Thanks for the advice. I went back with gas and a fresh battery, and no go. If they would have let it go for $250, I probably would have went for it
But after a long inspection, considering all the extra $$ I would have to sink into it, I passed.

Who knows? I might get lucky and see it at the curb next trash day!

They still wanted $500 after you could not get it to run?? Wow. They sure are proud of it

You probably just dodged a $500 bullet, followed by additional costs.

Safest policy is the shake hands on an agreed price, THEN get it started and smile at the owner when you drive it onto your trailer. :biggrin2:
