Dads 122
In 1966, my Dad bought a new Cub 122. Recently I found his old tractor and purchased it. When Dad bought it, the deck was a 48 inch. Someone converted it to a 38 in quick connect. I have a 42 inch non quick connect and a few quick connect decks in pretty sad shape. I only have the carriage for a quick connect deck. Is it possible to drill the ends of the carriage and weld the pins to accommodate the old non quick connect deck?

Maybe you can take the quick attach brackets from the 38 and transfer it to the 42 and use the QA carriage (mule drive). I did that with a 42" cast iron end deck and it worked well. I think you'll need to change to the loops link assembly on the front of deck. I also remember need to drill holes in the deck for the QA brackets.

Thank you that is what I wanted to do. I don't believe the cast iron nose will interchange and not sure that I can use the front oblong hangers on the pin type deck. Sounds like they will work thank you
