Brakes on 124
 

I purchased a 124 with a creeper several years ago and it never has had very good brakes. So I started the work of checking them out. What I found first thing is the "Brake adjusting screw" has been broken off. I am going to attempt to drill it out and remove with an easy out. My question how long is this bolt and what size is it? Just in case I can't get a good thread size and I really need the length. FYI I have the service manuel in hand.

Per the Parts Manual "Screw, 3/8-16 X 1-3/4 Sq Hd Ov Pt Set" - available at your local Hardware Store.

Thanks Roland. It came out very easily and found the bolt. Went right in and adjusted the brakes per manuel. Now the brakes work great! I wish everything was that easy. I had in done in less than an hour.
