Cross shaft seal?
 

I have a little oil leak that seems to be coming from around the cross shaft on one of my 12 hp motors, (K301A). I'm assuming that there is a seal that can be replaced. Shouldn't be too big of a task, but does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with this before I tear in to it?

Not familiar with the terminology "cross shaft" can you enlighten me?

He's referring to the governor.

The cross shaft is what the governor arm attaches to. The leak is where the cross shaft exits the block. The oil leaks down on the points cover. I had to order the seal. I'll fix it next week.
