Cub Cadet mower lift
1 Attachment(s)
I broke down today and bought a Cub Cadet mower lift from TSC. :beerchug:
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...t?cm_vc=-10005 I got tired of rigging up my BX about every time I mowed to lift the 1864 so that I could clean under the deck (Wet Grass is an Understatement) anyway this thing is the hot setup. I should have bought one a couple years ago. :beerchug: |
I've seen them and they did look nicer than the ones Harbor Freight sold. Dad had a HF model back in 2014 and it wouldn't lift anything but the toys--and you better quickly get the lock pin in place then!
Sam, You got any Supers left to try it on? |
No Supers, just 3 GT's. It lifted the 1864 with no problem. I don't see it having an issue with a Super. :bigthink:

A few years back I picked up a 1/4 T. overhead air powered hoist for $25 at an auction, small thing with a pendant.
just hangs from the barn truss, but what a great little helper. Sure could of used it in my younger days, but it is appreciated more in my later years.:beerchug: |
I wish I had an overhead crane setup like the shop where my dad worked. They had a pipe with a drop chain on each side and just wrapped each side of the front axle. The pipe either had an eye bolt or another chain for hooking in the chain hoist. Changing blades was a cinch!!

I have a chain fall hanging from a beam in the garage, myself. I inherited mine from my grandfather, but I think I've seen quality antique chainfalls to be had for $5 or $10 at every flea market I've ever been to. That little overhead crane sure does come in handy.
A pile of stanky wet grass on the floor of the shop every week, that definitely wouldn't be handy. |
I do not need a lift, two years ago, my wife got me a "sky hook" for Christmas,,
I use it all the time, no frame is needed,, just hook it up,, it works best with blessed rope,,, :bigthink: https://i1104.photobucket.com/albums...ps3f58f1b7.jpg (That Gravely is a little bigger than a Super) :biggrin2: |

Uncluttered wall hasn't happened so it is still in the box in the enclosed porch. A question I still have is; will the Super front tire width 8.50 nest in the provided trays? https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...ad.php?t=50500 Sam, have fun, be safe. |
Open the box, take one of the "trays" to your Super and see if the wheel will fit. :beerchug:
